The gift of pausing
August often feels full of movement: holidays, gatherings, long summer days. While we associate this season with joy, it can also bring heat waves, disrupted routines, or the pressure to “make the most” of every moment. Mindfulness reminds us that pauses don’t need to be perfect or long. A single breath, softening the shoulders, or noticing one detail around us can be enough. These brief pauses nourish us, even in times of discomfort.
