Science of Mind
Exploring the spiritual side of life
In the midst of deadlines, responsibilities, and the constant juggling of work and home, it’s easy to feel disconnected — not only from yourself, but also from a deeper sense of meaning. Science of Mind offers a way to reconnect with that inner wisdom and bring more clarity and calm into everyday life.
Short on time? Here's the overview.
Science of Mind is a practical spiritual philosophy that teaches how our thoughts shape our experiences. At its core is Spiritual Mind Treatment — a guided process that helps shift worry into trust, and confusion into clarity. It’s one of the tools I offer in A Kindful Path Coaching to support calm, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose.

What is Science of Mind?
Science of Mind is a spiritual philosophy created in the early 20th century by Ernest Holmes. It teaches that our thoughts and beliefs shape our experiences through universal laws, such as the law of cause and effect.
At its heart, it recognises that there is a greater Presence. Some call this God, others prefer Source, Universal Energy, Nature, Higher Self, or simply Life. The word you choose doesn’t matter as much as the felt experience of connection.
It’s best understood as a philosophy with practical tools for daily life. It does not require adopting a particular creed, and its practices can complement any faith or spiritual tradition — or simply serve as a personal way of cultivating meaning.
The core practice: Spiritual Mind Treatment
At the centre of Science of Mind is Spiritual Mind Treatment — a structured form of affirmative prayer. It’s not about pleading or asking, but about aligning thoughts and intentions with clarity, trust, and possibility.
Through five simple steps — recognition, unification, declaration, gratitude, and release — this practice helps shift focus from worry to trust, from confusion to clarity. Many people find it brings steadiness, confidence, and peace, even in the middle of challenges.
“Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it.”
Ernest Holmes

How it connects with mindfulness
Mindfulness gives us the clarity to notice our thoughts and patterns with kindness and without judgement. Science of Mind offers complementary practices — including Spiritual Mind Treatment, affirmations, visioning, journaling, and meditation — that help gently shift unhelpful thoughts into more compassionate and empowering ones.
Together, these approaches open the possibility of living with greater balance, kindness, and purpose.
How it works in coaching

Why it matters for your well-being
Many women I work with arrive feeling exhausted, questioning their purpose, or searching for steadiness amidst competing demands. Science of Mind can offer support in these moments, helping to cultivate:
✅ Clearer decision-making when responsibilities feel heavy.
✅ Calm in the middle of stress and pressure.
✅ Resilience when challenges arise.
✅ A renewed sense of meaning and purpose in daily life.

Honouring the whole self
In my own experience — especially during my years in the banking world — I often left aside a very important part of life: the spiritual, or what we might also call the existential side.
Well-being is not just about the physical body. Precision Nutrition’s "Deep Health" approach reminds us that it also includes the social, emotional, mental, environmental, and existential dimensions. The existential side is about feeling a sense of meaning and purpose — knowing that what we do, and who we are, truly matters.
Science of Mind offers one way of gently reconnecting with this deeper dimension, so it can support and bring balance to all the others.
A kindful path forward
You don’t need to adopt any particular belief to benefit from Science of Mind. It’s simply one of the tools I offer in A Kindful Path Coaching, alongside mindfulness, Radical Forgiveness, and health coaching. Together, we can explore what resonates for you, in your own words and at your own pace.
